Role SummaryThe Senior Tax Analyst will play a key role within the global Group Tax function, providing end-to-end tax compliance and reporting support across the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. Reporting to the APAC Regional Tax Manager, this role partners closely with regional finance teams and broader business stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant tax outcomes.
This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional with strong India tax expertise who enjoys working across multiple jurisdictions in a dynamic, international environment. The role offers broad exposure across geographies and tax disciplines, requiring a commercially minded individual who can confidently engage with non-tax stakeholders and build strong cross-functional relationships.
The position is well-suited to candidates transitioning from public practice (ideally with some international exposure) or those making a second move in-house and looking to deepen their global tax experience.
What you will do
- Support the collation and coordination of financial data from the APAC finance teams to enable accurate tax compliance across the region.
- Coordinate and review APAC corporate income tax returns prepared by external tax advisors, ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with group standards.
- Assist with responding to APAC tax assessments, audits, and regulatory notices, including information gathering and analysis.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cash tax forecasts and complete tax risk assessments and questionnaires.
- Prepare the APAC regional tax provision for financial reporting purposes in accordance with IFRS and US GAAP.
- Act as a key point of contact for internal and external auditors, responding to tax-related queries and supporting audits.
- Monitor and interpret changes in tax legislation and developments across the APAC region, maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge.
- Provide tax support for special projects, business initiatives, and strategic transactions as required.
- Effectively communicate tax concepts and implications to non-tax stakeholders in a clear, pragmatic manner.
- Manage group tax administrative tools and processes, including tax compliance trackers and JIRA workflows.
- Support wider group tax initiatives and collaborate with global tax colleagues as needed.
- Continue professional development, including completion of tax and accounting qualifications to strengthen in-house advisory capabilities.
- Participate in limited travel to support collaboration with the group tax and global finance teams.
What you will bring
- You are a certified Chartered Accountant (CA).
- Up to 8-9 years of total work experience.
- 4–5 years of experience in corporate tax across the APAC region, gained within a Big 4 accounting firm or multinational organization.
- Strong technical knowledge of APAC corporate income tax principles and statutory reporting requirements, with particular depth in India tax.
- Working knowledge of VAT/GST and other indirect taxes.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Certified Chartered Accountant (CA).
- Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP tax accounting principles
- Experience with tax technology platforms such as Thomson Reuters OneSource Tax Provision (preferred).
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across finance and business teams.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, self-motivated mindset with the ability to work effectively in diverse, multicultural, international teams, focused on practical and commercially driven solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
