The Senior Technical Consultant will implement client solutions, support 4G and 5G network-based solutions, troubleshoot issues, conduct solution testing, and deliver client training. They will manage documentation, collaborate with teams to improve technical processes, and generate reports for performance tracking.
We are looking for a Senior Technical Consultant to join our Policy & Network Management team. This role is responsible for implementing client solutions, supporting 4G PCRF, 5G PCF, SMSC, USSD, and ensuring high-quality product launches, configuration changes, and technical troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will provide technical expertise, conduct solution acceptance testing, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex network-related issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement client solutions through product launches, configuration changes, and data modifications.
- Provide technical support for CSG’s network-based solutions (4G PCRF, 5G PCF, SMSC, USSD).
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues using established procedures and guidelines.
- Conduct solution acceptance testing and handover to ensure smooth client integration.
- Create and maintain customer documentation for configurations, troubleshooting, and best practices.
- Deliver customer training on system functionality and troubleshooting procedures.
- Act as the escalation point for critical technical issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance technical processes and system improvements.
- Generate internal and customer reports/metrics to track performance and identify trends.

We are looking for candidates who have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics & Telecommunications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong understanding of network-based solutions (4G PCRF, 5G PCF, SMSC, USSD).
- Experience in Linux installation and administration.
- Knowledge of IP LAN/WAN design and administration.
- Hands-on experience with database administration (MySQL, Oracle) and relational databases.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl, Bash, JavaScript, Ansible.
- Exposure to virtualized/cloud-based architectures (VMware, AWS, Azure).
- Familiarity with Web Service configuration/administration (Apache Tomcat).
- Understanding of SS7, Sigtran, MAP, SMPP, Diameter protocols.
- Experience with Elasticsearch, X-Pack, Kibana is highly desirable.
- Basic knowledge of Java and/or C++ coding methodologies is beneficial.
- Experience in CRM, Billing, and Order Management projects is a plus.
