As a Senior Technical Writer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the clarity and effectiveness of our technical documentation across a range of services and platforms, with a particular focus on ServiceNow and managed services operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create comprehensive, user-friendly documents and guides that enhance our user experience and support our business objectives.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain high-quality technical documentation for ServiceNow implementations, managed services operations, and other technical projects, ensuring consistency and clarity across all materials.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams, including engineering, operations, and client services, to gather information and translate complex processes into easily understandable texts.
- Enhance and uphold our documentation standards and best practices, contributing to the continuous improvement of our documentation processes.
- Manage the documentation lifecycle for multiple projects simultaneously, from planning and drafting to review, publication, and updates.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to other team members, fostering a culture of quality and excellence in documentation.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in technical writing, ServiceNow updates, and managed services operations to ensure our documentation remains current and relevant.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 4 years of technical writing experience, with a strong portfolio showing a wide variety of writing experiences across operations, engineering, and client-facing communications.
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Journalism, or a related field.
- Proficiency in English with exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow and experience documenting managed services operations.
- Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and engaging content for diverse audiences.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of effective collaboration in cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with documentation tools and technologies, and adaptability to new tools as required.
