Senior Workday Specialist
We’re looking for a Workday Analyst with hands-on experience in Core HR and Performance Management to support, configure, and optimize our Workday platform. In this role, you’ll collaborate with HR, IT, Payroll, and other key stakeholders to enhance functionality, troubleshoot issues, and support ongoing business needs across multiple Workday HCM modules.
You’ll bring both strategic insight and technical expertise to ensure we’re getting the most out of Workday - improving processes, enabling better user experiences, and supporting business growth.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for Core HCM and Performance Management modules.
- Responsible for providing hands-on production support, including issue analysis, configuration updates, solutioning, testing, and deployment.
- Support the HR team, as well as IT and other functional stakeholders, with deep product expertise and on-demand consulting regarding Workday Core HR and Performance Management functionalities. This includes but not limited to configuration of boarding/offboarding business, goal setting, performance check-ins and calibration processes.
- Identify and recommend business process improvements, and/or system optimization opportunities to better align with business needs.
- Proactively monitor Workday Feature Release and Weekly Patch documentation.Collaborate with appropriate functional areas to recommend features for uptake and manage the implementation of new features, incl. documentation, configuration, testing and deployment
- Develop user procedures, guidelines, documentation, and training materials for the Workday system
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Computer Science, or related field preferred; or, equivalent combination of education, skills and professional experience
- Minimum of eight years of experience supporting enterprise HCM systems in hands-on, business focused roles, preferably in large global organizations
Minimum of five years of hands-on configuration experience with the Workday platform; experience with a Workday implementation and configuration of Core HR and Performance Management modules preferred
- Experience capturing user requirements and documenting business processes
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional teamwork and collaboration skills
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
- Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving ability, with high attention to detail
- Strong self-initiation and the ability to work independently when necessary, while simultaneously being a strong team player
- Flexibility and creativity in producing solid deliverables
