As a Software Engineering - Developer at Kyndryl, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge software solutions. Your work will play a critical role in our business offering, your code will deliver value to our customers faster than ever before, and your attention to detail and commitment to quality will be critical in ensuring the success of our products.
Using design documentation and functional programming specifications, you will be responsible for implementing identified components. You will ensure that implemented components are appropriately documented, unit-tested, and ready for integration into the final product. You will have the opportunity to architect the solution, test the code, and deploy and build a CI/CD pipeline for it.
As a valued member of our team, you will provide work estimates for assigned development work, and guide features, functional objectives, or technologies being built for interested parties. Required Technical and Professional Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in SAM with 3+ years as a ServiceNow SAM Architect

  • Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro module implementation and configuration.

  • Automate software license reconciliation using ServiceNow workflows, APIs, and MID Server.

  • Expertise in global software licensing models and compliance frameworks (ISO 19770, ITIL)

  • Experience with discovery tools and software normalization practices

  • Familiarity with CSDM, CMDB design, and IT Asset Management practices

  • Design scalable ServiceNow SAM Pro solutions based on enterprise requirements.

  • Align the SAM architecture with ITAM, CMDB, CSDM, procurement, and finance systems.

  • Lead architectural assessments and roadmap creation for SAM implementation.

  • Define licensing models and entitlement structures for vendors (Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, IBM, SAP, etc.).

  • Design automated compliance reporting to reduce audit risk and improve vendor negotiations.

  • Architect integration with discovery tools (ServiceNow Discovery, SCCM, Tanium, Flexera, etc.).

  • Ensure normalization and reconciliation processes for software recognition and entitlement mapping.

  • Establish SAM governance models, policy standards, and operational workflows.

  • Drive process harmonization across Business Units, Security, Procurement, and IT Ops.

  • Lead SAM enablement sessions with technical teams, service owners, and procurement leaders.

  • Act as a key advisor in license cost optimization and vendor audit defense.

  • Design dashboards and reports that track compliance, license consumption, and optimization savings.

  • Define KPIs for software utilization, ELPs (Effective License Positions), and lifecycle coverage.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – SAM

  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – ITAM

  • Experience in handling vendor audits and licensing disputes

  • Knowledge of scripting and workflows in ServiceNow (e.g., ServiceNow workflows, Business Rules, UI Policies, and Reporting.)

  • Experience with software contract and entitlement import automation
