The Opportunity
As a ServiceNow Software Engineer, you will lead, design, develop, configure, and customize (when necessary) ServiceNow applications and services. You will deliver new functionality across applications, support the entire development lifecycle and assist the platform support with product related incident resolution.
This role positions you as a ServiceNow Subject Matter Expert, steering the creation and implementation of automation solutions to optimize Takeda's IT Service Management processes. With specific emphasis on the ServiceNow SecOps and GRC modules, you will ensure seamless functionality, enhanced operational efficiency, and a user-friendly experience. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining GRC and SecOps items and workflows within Takeda's ServiceNow platform, leveraging your technical expertise in ServiceNow development practices and a deep understanding of IT Service Management and business process automation.
Responsibilities
  • Configure and maintain GRC modules, including Policy and Compliance, Risk Management, and Audit Management.
  • Automate risk assessments, control testing, and compliance monitoring workflows in GRC.
  • Integrate GRC with other ServiceNow modules and third-party systems for streamlined processes.
  • Design and implement workflows for Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM), including vendor assessments and risk mitigation.
  • Automate vendor onboarding, due diligence, and risk classification processes in TPRM.
  • Configure and customize Integrated Risk Management (IRM) solutions to unify enterprise risk frameworks.
  • Develop risk assessment workflows to evaluate and prioritize risks based on impact and likelihood in IRM.
  • Set up and maintain the Vulnerability Response (VR) module for identifying and addressing vulnerabilities.
  • Automate prioritization and remediation workflows for vulnerabilities based on severity and business impact.
  • Configure and maintain SecOps modules, including Security Incident Response (SIR) and Threat Intelligence.
  • Implement automated incident detection and response workflows in SecOps.
  • Integrate SecOps systems with threat intelligence feeds for improved threat analysis and response.
  • Create real-time dashboards for tracking security incidents, vulnerabilities, and compliance metrics.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Document all configurations, workflows, and processes to ensure clear communication and future scalability.
  • Present product demos and technical showcases for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Adherence to ServiceNow best practices, Takeda-defined standards, and Agile development schedules.
  • Leverage Takeda's SDLC toolset for efficient development and deployment.
  • Drive innovation and optimize GRC and SecOps functionality to meet evolving business needs.
  • Stay updated on ServiceNow advancements, incorporating new features into solutions.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science/Information technology; or relevant work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in architecting, designing and developing ServiceNow solutions (especially, Integrated Risk Management and SecOps modules).
  • 2+ experience with ServiceNow GRC and SecOps module is a must.
  • Strong understanding of Governance, Risk, and Compliance and Security Operations processes.
  • Strong expertise with ServiceNow platform development, especially GRC and SecOps configurations, Flow Designer, and scripting languages.
  • Proficient in creating Server-side and Client-side scripts, Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, and ACLs.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to communicate complex technical concepts and align organization on decisions.
  • ServiceNow System Administrator certification (required).
  • ServiceNow Application Developer certification (preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent English (both written and oral).
