You're a creative technologist who loves bringing beautiful and accessible experiences to life through semantic markup, client-side JavaScript, and mastery of Shopify. You enjoy collaborating with project managers, strategists, and designers to translate ideas into functional ecommerce solutions. You're comfortable with back-end API integrations, work efficiently in ticketing systems, and want to build best-in-class frontend solutions. You like working with emerging disruptive brands and can clearly communicate solutions to clients.
- Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify and Shopify Plus storefronts
- Implement custom Liquid code to modify themes and build unique features
- Integrate third-party APIs, apps, and backend services into the Shopify ecosystem
- Translate Figma designs into responsive, accessible, and performant front-end experiences
- Optimize site speed, data flow, and overall frontend performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across client stores
- Collaborate with project managers and designers to deliver on creative and technical goals
- Maintain clean version control practices using Git and document all technical changes
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with Shopify, preferably Shopify Plus
- Proficiency in Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, Tailwind CSS, JavaScript (ES6+), and JSON
- Strong understanding of Shopify APIs, metafields, and webhooks
- Familiarity with custom app development and third-party integrations
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail
- Experience scoping complex development solutions, troubleshooting cross-browser/platform issues, and delivering accessible products
- Experience working in collaborative environments using Git, Slack, and ClickUp or similar tools
