The Application Developer’s role is to use intermediate experience and knowledge of different programming languages to create and maintain programs and applications. Individuals in this role will collect research data from a variety of sources, analyze, and recommend courses of action to take. This includes the analysis of requirements and functional specifications to design, build, test, implement and support corrections and or enhancements. The role is expected to develop integrated solutions aligned with TD SYNNEX’s business units utilizing robust computing architectures in a multi-tier environment.
Responsibilities:Analyzes business requirements across multiple business areas including the evaluation of application software packages.
Devises and modifies procedures to solve business problems.
Codes and configures application components and interfaces
Coordinates and schedules change control and production verification processes. Prepares required documentation.
Ensures that all programming / configuration adheres to corporate standards, and all integration issues are identified and addressed, as well as version control of deliverables.
Ensures business applications are developed in a way that complies with architectural standards and established methodologies and practices.
Performs additional duties as assigned
Prepares test plans, certifies string testing results, and performs regression and integration testing across applications.
Develops business relationships and integrates activities with other IT departments to ensure successful implementation and support project efforts.
Creates impact and details design documents, translating requirements into an appropriate system design and version control of deliverables.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
3 to 5 Years of relevant work experience.
Bachelor's Degree with Computer Science / MIS field of study required.
Able to execute instructions and to request clarification when needed.
Possesses basic clerical and data entry skills.
Possesses strong data entry skills.
Able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Able to communicate clearly and convey necessary information.
Able to create and conduct formal presentations.
Possesses strong multi-cultural interpersonal skills.
Able to maintain and promote social, ethical, and organizational standards in conducting internal and external business activities.
Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
Able to quickly learn new systems and technology.
Able to use relevant computer system applications at an intermediate level.
