About the Team

The Customer Experience (CX) Strategy & Operations team defines strategic priorities, drives end to end operations, and delivers Workday's digital customer experience via Community - all while ensuring our business is standing strong on solid infrastructure with clear business processes. This shared services organization drives operational excellence and innovation across the Customer Experience (CX) organization, enabling program and organizational change across people, processes and systems.
The Workday Community organization is home to the digital customer experience for Workday customers - serving as the hub for knowledge, collaboration, and engagement. This digital platform is an inspiring, interactive space designed to help our customers deepen their knowledge of Workday applications and maximize their investment. The Workday Community Content Operations team plays a crucial role in leveraging content to strengthen community bonds, drive engagement, and ultimately support the broader goals of the organization.
The Community Engineering organization is responsible for turning business requirements into reality. About the Role

Do you enjoy the challenges of problem-solving, whether it's optimizing performance, writing clean code, or building robust systems? Workday is looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer to create and enhance functions and features to enable a vibrant and cutting edge Workday Community platform.

Responsibilities

• Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the Agile development cycle.

• Design and Development : Suggest and bring a new system design approach and get that developed and deployed. Participate in design discussion within the team with the architects. 

• Defect Tracking: Identify, log, and track defects and ensure that they are resolved before product release.

• Agile Participation: Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups, contributing to test backlog grooming and defining test strategies.

• Documentation: Maintain detailed and clear test case documentation, test execution logs, and defect reports.

• Quality : Participate in code reviews and maintain the quality. 

About You

You Must have qualifications:-

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• 5  years of proven track record in object Oriented Programming and Java,Spring Boot. 

• 3-5 years working experience on  Adobe Experience Manager(AEM).

• Experience in UI development using React, Typescript/JavaScript, HTML, (S)CSS, XML.

• Should have a good understanding of SOLID design principles and Basic Design Patterns.

• Good understanding of RESTful design principles and patterns.

• Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL database implementations (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.)

• Strong problem-solving abilities to understand and diagnose complex issues that may arise during development and testing.

• Experience working in Agile teams: Collaborating with developers, product owners, Scrum masters, and other stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the development cycle.

• Phenomenal teammate and willingness to explore and flexible to explore technology stack.

Good to have qualifications:​

• Content Management System like Drupal setup, configuration, development

• Good to have Experience with COVEO or Other Search technologies.

• Good to have working knowledge of Kafka, SNAP, Salesforce basics.

• Good to have experience with adaptable UI patterns and construction.

• Git and or equivalent code management / version control standard methodologies

• Understanding server and client-side security requirements

• Experience with responsive UI patterns and construction

• Experience with LAMP stack

• Experience with GraphQL
