Role Overview:

Trellix is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Software Development Engineer to join our XDR Engineering team. As an SDE, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining core services that enable our XDR platform. The role requires proficiency in Java, Node.js, Angular, Docker, Kubernetes, and Kafka.

About the Role :

1. Develop features for Trellix’s XDR platform.
2. Build new product features and fix existing sustaining issues.
3. Produce clean and efficient code, which is performant, readable while being
logically correct. The candidate is expected to code unit tests and unit
integration tests.
4. Experience in designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting
production services running on AWS.
5. Has a clear understanding of web-based design patterns including REST-
based APIs, HTTP client frameworks, highly concurrent backend system,
asynchronous messaging, multi-threading, and event-driven architectures.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication and can work with minimal
guidance. Knows what needs to be done to meet delivery timelines, acts with
urgency as needed.

About You :

1. Candidate should have 3 – 7 years working experience as a Software
Development Engineer (SDE).
2. Proficient in Java, Node.js, Angular, GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes and AWS
services like Lambda, EKS and EC2.
3. Should have a proven track record of shipping high quality and scalable
software.
4. Demonstrable experience in writing clean code quickly, preferably using
Node.js and Java.
5. Hands-on current experience authoring, building, and maintaining cloud-
native software.
6. Integrate test automation into CI/CD process and instrumenting full SDLC
automation with tools like Jenkins or Team City or GitHub Actions.
7. Experienced in Agile or Scrum software development methodologies.
8. Demonstrate ability to work effectively both within a team and cross-group to
drive identification and resolution of issues to ship under tight deadlines.
9. Strong communication skills and be self-driven to work remotely.
1. Knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems including
usage of Identity Providers such as Okta, Auth0, Keycloak, Ping Identity etc.
is a plus.

2. Experience building and supporting applications leveraging databases and
caching technologies including Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Redis,
Memcached, and AWS DynamoDB.
3. Experience with Kafka and streaming technologies like Apache Storm,
Apache Spark etc.
