Job Description

Trimble is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (P2) to enhance and support our Cityworks AMS and PLL web applications in Chennai, India. You will focus on developing secure, reliable, and high-performing software components while collaborating across teams to ensure product quality and stability.

Job Purpose

To design, develop, and enhance software modules in alignment with cybersecurity standards, while contributing to architectural improvements and collaborating on product enhancements and defect resolutions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance features using C#, ASP.NET, and JavaScript/TypeScript.

  • Identify, test, and remediate vulnerabilities as part of secure development.

  • Collaborate with QA and security teams to ensure robust delivery.

  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to architectural evolution.

  • Improve logging, monitoring, and observability frameworks.

  • Conduct unit testing and ensure high test coverage.

Skillsets
  • Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET Core, JavaScript/TypeScript.

  • Familiarity with Angular 6+, Dojo, Bootstrap, and CSS.

  • Understanding of cybersecurity practices, code reviews, and secure design.

  • Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, Git/Bitbucket, and CI/CD tools.

  • Problem-solving and debugging experience.

Qualifications & Experience
  • B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science or related field.

  • 3–5 years of software development experience.

  • Exposure to enterprise web applications and cybersecurity practices.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
