Job responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust backend services using Java, with a focus on scalability and performance.
- Design and implement scalable microservices-based solutions.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction and backend architecture.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Optimize applications for maximum performance and scalability.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in backend development.
- Ensure the security and integrity of backend services and data.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
- Strong proficiency in Java and experience with backend frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot).
- Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
- Proficiency in AWS environments and cloud-based solutions.
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
- A knack for benchmarking and optimization.
- Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, product owners, and platform teams.
