Job responsibilities
- Monitor and troubleshoot data jobs across AWS and on-premises platforms
 - Troubleshoot issues arising from data loads and system interactions
 - Engage with upstream and downstream data systems to resolve issues
 - Collaborate with development teams throughout the application lifecycle
 - Facilitate blameless post-mortems and ensure permanent incident closure
 - Build and develop automation tools to reduce manual operational work
 - Communicate effectively across multiple teams to resolve production issues
 
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
 - Experience in development and production support on AWS and on-premises platforms
 - Demonstrated ability to work independently with strong ownership, collaboration, and communication skills
 - Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills
 - Hands-on AWS experience or cloud certification
 - Experience deploying and supporting microservices and cloud-based applications
 - Proficiency with CI/CD toolkits such as GIT, Subversion, Jenkins, or Sonar
 
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Intermediate understanding of at least one technology stack or programming language (Java, Python, or Scala)
 - Experience maintaining cloud-based infrastructure
 - Familiarity with site reliability engineering concepts and practices
 - Strong scripting skills in Python and ability to work on data analysis using SQL
