As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure Platforms Line of Business, you will be a seasoned member of an agile team, tasked with designing and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products that are secure, stable, and scalable. Your role involves implementing critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas, supporting various business functions to achieve the firm's business objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provision and manage AWS services such as ECS, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SNS, SQS, and others using Terraform.
- Lead the migration of Python microservices to AWS, ensuring seamless integration with Jules and Spinnaker for CI/CD.
- Perform Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) operations, focusing on continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
- Develop and maintain complex SQL statements, perform CRUD operations on tables, views, and procedures, and utilize PL/SQL for advanced database management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement scalable and reliable software solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to AWS services, microservices, and databases.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in provisioning AWS services using Terraform.
- Strong expertise in migrating Python microservices to AWS, with experience in Jules and Spinnaker for CI/CD.
- Proficient in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) operations, with a focus on CI/CD.
- Advanced database skills, including the ability to create complex SQL statements, perform CRUD operations, and utilize PL/SQL.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- AWS certification(s) such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
- Experience in database administration.
