As a Software Engineer III - Cloud Platform Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Technology division as a part of the Infrastructure Platforms team, you will design and deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality cloud solutions. You will collaborate with technologists worldwide, promoting technical innovation and efficiency in infrastructure operations.
Job responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and operate solutions for cloud computing platforms with security, auditability, and observability
  • Define and build value-add services using cloud-native principles
  • Create technical designs for development and integration of new software and system technologies
  • Participate in performance analysis, service capacity planning, and demand forecasting
  • Drive technical innovation and efficiency through developing tools and automation
  • Research and evaluate alternate solutions to adopt cutting-edge technologies
  • Add to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
  • Hands on experience of development experience building and delivering large systems
  • Expert proficiency in at least one programming language such as Golang
  • Experience in writing automated tests using Python or shell scripting
  • Hands-on experience in system and networking concepts
  • Experience with Kubernetes, git, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to solve complex problems at scale

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Experience with Azure or Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience with AWS and cloud formation templates such as Terraform
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
