About the Role
As a Software Engineer III, you’ll be a key part of our Agile development squad. You will develop innovative, new data-driven solutions that will shape the future of our information business. You will bring your ability to help us deliver solutions using your technical expertise in solution designing, effective coding and unit testing.
Qualifications:
3+ years of Software Engineering experience
BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required
Requirements:
To be successful in this role you will:
- Demonstrate proficiency in Python programming language with a focus on data frames and data transformations
- Demonstrate proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL)
- Display experience with Cloud Computing Platforms, preferably AWS
- Display experience with build pipelines using Jenkins and GIT
- Demonstrate experience with a modern IDE and proficiency in using refactoring tools
- Enjoy collaborating with team members to create innovative solutions for the research community
- Be open to discussing and honing approaches for our team to improve our working practices
Accountabilities:
- Interface with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements
- Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components
- Work closely with other development team members to understand product requirements and translate them into software designs
- Successfully implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews through your understanding of software development methodologies
- Agile development – including the use of Jira, Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery
