We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer – Premium Engineer III with expertise in SAP S/4HANA, particularly SAP Commodity Pricing Engine (CPE), Materials Management (MM), and commodity procurement pricing processes.
The candidate will be responsible for designing, configuring, developing, testing, and maintaining SAP solutions to support complex commodity purchasing and pricing requirements.
The role involves collaborating with business stakeholders, procurement teams, ABAP developers, and integration teams to deliver scalable, efficient, and business-aligned SAP solutions.
Engage with business stakeholders to understand requirements, challenges, and use cases, and translate them into effective software solutions.
Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications and SAP solutions in accordance with business requirements.
Assess application requirements and determine appropriate technical solutions, integration approaches, and deployment strategies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners, solution architects, developers, and business users.
Configure and maintain SAP Commodity Pricing Engine (CPE) formulas, terms, rules, and pricing procedures for commodity procurement.
Configure Derivative Contract Specifications (DCS), Market Identifier Codes (MIC), and quotation names to support commodity price evaluation.
Configure and manage market data feeds and exchange rate integrations to automate commodity market price quotation uploads.
Configure SAP MM pricing procedures, condition types, access sequences, and pricing schemas, ensuring integration with CPE.
Maintain and optimize master data, including Material Master, Business Partner/Vendor Master, and Source Lists.
Conduct Fit-Gap analysis and recommend SAP standard functionality and best practices wherever possible.
Prepare Functional Specifications for custom developments, including RICEFW objects such as reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms.
Collaborate with ABAP developers and integration teams to implement custom functionality when required.
Define testing strategies, prepare test cases, and perform Unit Testing and System Integration Testing (SIT).
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), issue resolution, and production readiness.
Provide hypercare and production support, troubleshooting pricing issues, procurement-related defects, and system performance challenges.
Prepare user documentation, conduct knowledge transfer sessions, and support business users.
Follow Agile development methodologies, continuous integration, and continuous delivery practices.
Ensure application security, performance optimization, and adherence to organizational standards.
Requirements
- 6 to 12 years of IT experience, including at least 4 years in development.
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA.
- Strong expertise in SAP CPE configuration, including formulas, terms, rules, and commodity pricing procedures.
- Working knowledge of SAP MM procurement and pricing configuration, including schemas, condition types, and access sequences.
- Experience with commodity market data, quotation management, and exchange rate integrations.
- Experience maintaining procurement-related master data.
- Ability to conduct Fit-Gap analyses and prepare functional specifications for custom developments.
- Experience collaborating with ABAP developers and integration teams.
- Knowledge of testing processes, including Unit Testing, SIT, and UAT.
- Proficiency in two coding languages or advanced proficiency in one coding language.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to explain complex SAP concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Currently based in Chennai, Bengaluru, or Hyderabad, with availability to work from the Chennai office 4 days per week.
- Immediate availability or a remaining notice period of up to 15 days.
