Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and enhance Java-based applications aligned with Optum standards
- Provide L2 and L3 support for enterprise applications, drive RCA, resolve incidents, and ensure system stability
- Handle complex technical issues independently with solid analytical and debugging skills
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners including Product, QA, SRE, Infrastructure, and Business to deliver seamless solutions
- Participate in design reviews, peer code reviews, and engineering best practice discussions
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and automation to enhance system reliability
- Support AI/ML-based features or integration initiatives as a secondary skill
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- Graduate
- Experience in L2/L3 application support, including incident management and production troubleshooting
- Solid proficiency in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and related frameworks
- Proven ability to analyze logs, performance issues, and complex workflows
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of proven work experience as a software engineer
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Exposure to AI/ML development concepts
- Proven excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams effectively
- Proven solid ownership mindset and ability to handle complex tasks with minimal supervision
