Duties: Design and code for innovative solutions to solve business problems. Write code for highly scalable, microservices, micro front end based applications. Primarily responsible for the delivery of software as an agile team member. Champion leveraging modern technologies. Responsible for all aspects of technology delivery. Build and maintain relationships with business and technology team members. Triage technical issues and work toward solving problems. Contribute to the team's migration to a cloud-based architecture. Provide support during incidents. Determination of root cause of incidents. Re-creation, analysis, troubleshooting, and diagnosis of incidents. Promote strong controls to evaluate, manage and conduct new and existing business by adhering to risk and control expectations, procedures and processes. Provide support for applications during multiple releases, ensuring that service is delivered in an uninterrupted manner. Work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer/Developer, Java Developer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer/Developer, Java Developer, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following skills: building large-scale, distributed applications using Java and J2EE; deploying cloud-based applications on AWS and Cloud Foundry; developing web applications using Angular, React, JavaScript, NodeJS, and HTML; implementing secure authentication techniques including Token-Based Authentication, Certificate-Based Authentication, and Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS); managing incidents and problems for timely resolution; using Splunk for data analysis and system improvement; developing back-end services using SQL or NoSQL; designing relational databases using MySQL, Oracle, and Amazon RDS; delivering software using the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC); performance testing using JMeter and Blazemeter; administering applications on Linux, Unix, and Windows; and automating build processes using Maven. This position requires two (2) years of experience with the following skills: using Dynatrace for performance monitoring; optimizing Single-Page Applications (SPAs); developing containerized applications using Kubernetes; and using Git for version control and collaboration. This position requires any amount of experience with the following skills: developing RESTful and SOAP-based web services; participating in Agile development processes; and creating unit tests using Junit for code quality and defect detection.
