Job Description
DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Participate in planning sessions with the project managers, business analysts and team members to analyze business requirements and outline the proposed IT solutions to develop software applications. Participate in design reviews and provide input for design recommendations, incorporate security requirements into design, and provide input to information and data flow for software application development. Comply with the project life cycle methodology in all planning steps and adhere to IT control policies throughout design, development and testing. Incorporate corporate architectural standards into application design specifications, document the detailed application specifications, translate technical requirements into programmed application modules, and develop and enhance software application modules. Participate in programming reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Identify and troubleshoot application programming- related issues and review and provide feedback to the final user documentation. Work with the test team to ensure the testing results correspond to the business expectations. Assist in project planning and tracking activities, as well as in production support triaging activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 5 years (60 months) of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, Manager Projects, Sr. Associate Projects, Senior Systems Engineer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 3 years (36 months) of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, Manager Projects, Sr. Associate Projects, Senior Systems Engineer, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Application Development, Application Reengineering / Modernization; Agile Scrum Methodology; Informatica PowerCenter; Relational Database (Oracle, SQL Server); Shell scripting; Perl scripting; Oracle SQL; Control-M; and Performance Tuning of Informatica mappings.
