Design and develop application solutions on SAP BTP using ABAP and integration services. Lead technical development and provide mentoring while collaborating on architecture and production support.
Ford is implementing SAP S4 HANA based ERP programs across multiple skill teams, which will modernize, improve productivity, reduce the size and complexity of Ford's technical footprint, emphasize differentiating capabilities, and to transform and standardize its business processes. This position will be part of the Foundational Products group in SAP Enterprise Platform Organization, and this team is responsible to provide API Enablement and Enhancements development services using SAP ABAP programming and BTP
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and support application solutions on SAP BTP CAPM (Cloud Application Programming Model)
- Implement SAP BTP Developer solutions with a focus on HANA Cloud Development.
- Utilize SAP BTP Business Application Studio for development tasks.
- Apply deep understanding of Cloud Foundry features and capabilities.
- Utilize Cloud Application Programming Model (CAPM) using Java and Spring Boot.
- Work with APIs, destinations, job schedulers, and document management services.
Design and develop the data model using CDS views and deploy to SAP S4 HANA DB. - Utilize SAP BTP services and components such as Integration Suite, Destinations, Connectivity, XSUAA, EventMesh, Scheduler, etc
- Implement SAP BTP cloud deployment processes and DevOps practices.
- Review solutions with solution architecture team, rationalizing the recommended design with pros and cons.
- Collaborates with others (e.g. System Designer/Analysts, Architects, Senior Developer) to establish the physical application framework (e.g. libraries, reuse modules, development environments)
- Ensures the development and execution of unit test plans to validate that application modules meet technical specifications
- Ensures technical inspections are performed at appropriate stages of development
- Create documentations and provide production support for launched products
- Works with others (e.g. Operations, System Designer/Analysts, Developers) to prepare and stage production builds, and verify production releases meet technical and business expectations
- Provides technical leadership and mentoring to junior developers, and leads the technical application development/integration of IT solutions
- 4-6 years of overall IT experience with atleast 3-4 years SAP ABAP, BTP CAPM services
- Knowledge of Integration Suite, SAPUI5
- Hands on experience in SAP BTP CAP Framework, Business logic using Java or JavaScript and Node.js, Backend Data Modelling (using cds), SAP Fiori elements and SAPUI5 for UI.
- Knowledge on SAP BTP architecture, BTP services and tools (BAS, BTP Cockpit, Integration Suite etc.)
- Experience in API development (REST/SOAP)
- Understanding of Cloud Foundry & DB security concepts.
- Should be a good team player
- Strong experience in SQL Query and Object storage services
- Good experience in CI/CD
