Primary Responsibilities:
- Claims Auto Adjudication & Automation Outcomes
- Lead engineering teams delivering automation solutions that increase claims auto adjudication rates, reduce manual intervention, and improve straight through processing
- Drive capabilities that result in claims FTE savings, cycle time reduction, and improved accuracy and quality metrics
- Translate business partner objectives into clear automation roadmaps aligned to Tech Forward and enterprise automation investment priorities
- Measure and communicate realized value from automation initiatives, including efficiency gains and quality improvements
- Delivery & Enterprise Application Ownership
- Own delivery outcomes for 2-3 enterprise claims applications, including roadmap execution, quality, stability, and technical health
- Ensure disciplined execution using Agile methodologies, with planning, tracking, and reporting managed through Rally
- Balance new automation development with production support, modernization efforts, and technical debt reduction
- Identify and manage cross team dependencies, risks, and constraints across onshore and offshore teams
- Technical & Solution Leadership
- Provide hands on technical leadership and oversight without serving as a day to day individual contributor
- Partner with architecture and platform teams to ensure solutions are:
- Scalable and resilient for high volume claims processing
- Secure by design and compliant with enterprise, regulatory, and audit standards
- Built for reuse, extensibility, and long term sustainability
- Champion engineering best practices including test automation, CI/CD, observability, and quality engineering
- Onshore & Offshore Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop both onshore and offshore software engineering including contractor staff, fostering strong ownership, accountability, and engagement
- Establish clear expectations, conduct performance reviews, and support career growth across geographically distributed teams
- Drive consistency in delivery practices while enabling effective collaboration across time zones
- Support hiring, onboarding, and succession planning for onshore and offshore engineering roles
- Stakeholder & Business Partnership
- Serve as the primary technology partner for claims and operations stakeholders aligned to supported applications
- Communicate delivery progress, risks, and outcomes clearly to business and technology leadership
- Influence prioritization decisions by balancing business value, delivery capacity, and technical health
- Collaborate closely with product, QA, architecture, and operations teams to ensure end to end solution success

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering, including delivery with production enterprise systems
- 2+ years of experience leading or managing onshore and/or offshore software engineering teams
- Experience delivering automation solutions, preferably in claims, operations, or high volume transaction processing
- Solid experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe)
- Hands-on experience using Rally for sprint planning, backlog management, and delivery tracking
- Proven ability to partner with business stakeholders and deliver measurable efficiency and quality outcomes
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4+ years .NET/C# and SQL experience/background
- Experience leading globally distributed (onshore/offshore) delivery models
- Experience supporting claims auto adjudication or straight through processing solutions
- Background working with large scale enterprise applications and shared platforms, specifically Facets, UNET and Cosmos platforms
- Familiarity with regulated or compliance driven environments
- Proven solid influencing and communication skills across business and technology organizations
