Join us as a Principal Software Engineer on our Software Engineering team in Bengaluru to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact.
What you’ll achieve
As a Principal Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software based on the customer’s business goals, needs and general business environment. You will work with product management, other engineering teams, customer success and support on developing cutting edge new product features and enhancements across various areas of Boomi offerings.
You will:
Work with the team to build solutions using React.js for the frontend and Node.js for the backend.
Be a key member of an Agile team, collaboratively realizing features through the software development lifecycle
Guide and participate in design, development, clean code, unit testing, test automation and deployment of Boomi products and services including enhancements and/or resolution of any issues that may be reported
Work independently with a minimal level of guidance on technical aspects
Investigate and resolve complex customer issues
Review peers' code to ensure quality and adherence to best practices
Mentor junior members of the team, providing guidance and support in their development
Research, validate, and recommend technology decisions for new features
Provide application support on an as-needed basis to resolve issues and ensure smooth operation.
Participate in team activities such as sprint planning and retrospectives to enhance collaboration and project delivery

Ability to learn new tools, languages, and operating systems with some training and on-the-job experience
Experience in software development, including the use of some IDE with a solid understanding of object-oriented design concepts for delivering and maintaining a software product
Experience with source control systems, continuous integration tools
Experience with agile collaboration tools, such as JIRA and Confluence
Experience working with web technologies, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, NodeJS, Design Systems/Web component libraries
Experience with Web Services technologies including REST, GRAPHQL, SOAP, and WSDL
