Role:
We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with Fintech Industry experience who can work closely with the engineering team to deliver software testing best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of software products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and identify test scenarios.
- Design and implement test plans, test cases, and test suites to validate software functionality.
- Utilize defect tracking and management tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla to report and track issues.
- Participate in CI/CD pipelines, integrating testing suites to support continuous delivery.
- Conduct API testing using tools like Karate to verify backend functionalities.
- Maintain and update automated test scripts to adapt to changes in software features.
- Analyze test results and provide feedback to stakeholders, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Contribute to improving testing processes and implementing best practices.
- Perform regression, smoke, and exploratory testing across different environments and browsers.
- Support UAT and production release cycles, ensuring seamless deployment and minimal defects.
- Document test evidence and maintain traceability to requirements.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a QA Automation Engineer or similar role, demonstrating proficiency in automation testing.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Experience in test plan development, test case creation, execution, and reporting.
- Familiarity with defect tracking and management tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively.
- ISTQB or similar certification is a plus, showcasing a commitment to quality assurance standards.
- Familiarity with automation scripting using Cypress and Selenium, with proven ability to develop and maintain automated test scripts.
- Experience with API testing using tools like Karate is an advantage.
- Proficient in using Cypress and WebdriverIO for front-end and end-to-end test automation.
- Hands-on experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and Java-based frameworks.
- Experience working in Agile environments, actively participating in sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives.
- Skilled in using GitLab and Jenkins for CI/CD integration.
- Solid background in testing both web and mobile applications (Android and iOS).
Additional Requirements:
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating testing suites to support continuous integration.
- Good understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Knowledge of network message standards such as AS2805 or ISO standards.
- Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Confluence, Figma, Miro, and Slack.
- Experience in financial services and fintech domain, with exposure to payment gateways, merchant platforms, and digital wallets.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage priorities in a remote or hybrid work setup.
- Comfortable with fast-paced startup environments and adapting to changing priorities.
