Create test plans to validate android based device platform firmware/software for our video conference system.
Design automated test cases according to the test coverage outlined by test plans
Contribute to test entry/exit criterias and quality targets per milestones
Develop android test application/packages for api functional and stress test automation
Develop python test script for ui/system functional and stress test automation
Develop shell/python script for test process automation, test data processing and reporting
Design and implement test setup for automated peripherals interaction includes but not limited to HDMI, USB, Power adaptor, or HW keys
Onboarding automated tests to CI/CD flow and ensure automated tests coverage per test cycle
Execute automated test suites which requires manual test preconditions
Triage test results/failures from automated test run and report bugs
Writing test reports and executive summary for software quality review
Key Qualifications:
For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and experiences to our team:
Computer Science/Electronic Engineering background
5+ years of quality assurance experience in consumer electronics or operating systems
Deep understanding of software quality assurance methodologies with hands on experience in setting up software quality targets and/or criteria
Familiar with creating test plans for complex video/conference/communication products with embedded operating systems (Android preferred)
Familiar with junit test in android and hands on experience in test case development in services/AIDL, uiautomation and usage of services managers
Familiar with adb shell commands includes but not limited to dumpsys, services, am, etc
Familiar with Google GMS certification test suites and hands on experience in execution
Familiar with python and hands on experience with constructing module/class and USB serial devices control (e.g USB relay boards)
Fluence in windows and mac/linux operating system, and familiar with batch/bash shell scripting
Familiar with Json/xml data structure for data storage and exchange
Familiar with software management tools likes GitHub/Git, JIRA, etc
Familiar with web frontend/backend development, REST API, Google GSuite API
Knowledge of raspberry Pi, arduino or microcontroller application in test automation
