Job Description
YYou will join our Technology Architecture department
As our new Solution Architect, you will play a global strategic role delivering new IT solutions offered to Ramboll’s global business units. Your work will help improve and grow our tech-enabled consultancy business through fit-for-purpose solutions. You will be part of a small but growing global team and you will be working out of our office in Chennai. We have a strong collaboration culture and retain high employee satisfaction.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
- Collaborate closely with our innovative digitalization teams, advising them on future-proof solution designs
- Define technology architecture for large engagements involving cluster of technologies and act as a design authority for the engagement
- Perform technical feasibility and impact analysis and select software architecture or solution
- Work closely with our IT security, infrastructure and the other IT departments to ensure compliance and alignment
- Review designs and assist in creating guidelines for external collaborators and suppliers
- Be accountable for driving solution evaluation and selection decisions, buy vs build decisions, and proof of concepts which contribute to the business case
- Manage stakeholders and their expectations, advising them on the right solutions in correspondence with the business strategic objectives and technology strategy
- Build strong internal or external stakeholders relationships managing expectations at all levels
- Support us staying relevant by regularly evaluating existing and upcoming architecture patterns, best practices and emerging technology
- Contribute to our enterprise architecture strategy, underlying strategic initiatives and roadmap

Relevant skills & experience
- Candidate must have a minimum of 5+ years of experience of architecting solutions
- 10+ years of experience working professionally with a technical background, preferably as a senior developer
- Proven track record in architecting and managing implementations of applications/systems in large scale
- Deep knowledge of design patterns and architecture principles
- Proven ability to influence across business and IT
- Broad experience of cloud platforms preferably Azure and GCP
- Deep understanding of AI technologies and services
- Experience working in DevSecOps
- Experience working in agile methodology and product development
Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc. in Computer Science or similar)
- In-depth architecture knowledge and 3+ years of experience working with solution design and architectural principles
- 8+ years of experience working professionally with a technical background, preferably as a senior developer
- Proven track record in architecting and managing implementations of applications/systems in large and complex global companies
- Broad knowledge of Microsoft products and major vendors delivering solutions on the Microsoft platform
