Job Summary:Iron Mountain is seeking a sharp, driven, and experienced Technical Engineer to join our growing Sales Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for being the crucial technical link between our innovative products and our customers' success.
You'll use your engineering prowess and strong communication skills to understand complex customer challenges, demonstrate the value of our digital solutions, and build lasting, successful relationships.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities)In this role, you will:
Serve as the Technical Expert and Trusted Advisor: Work closely with the Presales team to provide in-depth technical explanations of our products and services, acting as the go-to technical resource for customers during the sales cycle.
Craft Compelling Presentations and Proof-of-Concept (POC) Projects: Develop and deliver engaging product demonstrations and presentations, collaborating with customers to solve their complex technical challenges using Iron Mountain digital solution offerings.
Bridge Engineering and Sales, and Support the Technical Sales Process: Act as a vital liaison between Presales, Product Development, and Engineering teams by providing valuable customer feedback, and assist with Request for Proposal (RFP)/Request for Information (RFI) responses to accelerate the sales cycle.
The ideal candidate will have:
5-10 Years of experience in the design, architecture, development, and technical selling of enterprise solutions.
Strong hands-on experience in programming languages like Python and JAVA, integration methods, building Software Development Kits (SDKs), and utilizing REST Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and Webhooks.
Proven ability to demonstrate leadership and expertise in enterprise architecture, cloud technologies, and Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts like Large Language Models (LLMs) and Prompt Engineering. Experience in Agentic AI and Multi-Cloud Platforms (MCP) will be an added advantage.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field).
