The role is pivotal in driving quality excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across diverse and dynamic markets.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Leadership & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with GMP, GDP, and all applicable regulatory requirements across emerging markets.
- Accountable for the release of imported products into the market, ensuring timely resolution of any issues encountered locally.
- Management of the investigation and implementation of corrective/preventive actions for quality issues arising within the markets. Notify management of significant issues.
- Ensuring effective and efficient quality and compliance systems are in place.
- Developing, implementing, and continuously improving quality systems that assure compliance with Company standards and regulatory requirements, enhance quality, and mitigate risks.
- Monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPI) of the quality Management Systems, evaluate and highlight any significant trends and identify actions.
- Leading the preparation and coordination of Product Quality and Good distribution practice audits and inspections of the PCOs.
- Ensuring appropriate resources are in place and are effectively organized to support the timely and compliant release for sale activities.
- Working collaboratively with other functions and groups including GSC and Global Regulatory Sciences to enable product supply.
Leadership Skills:
- Managing and coaching a team and providing leadership, direction, and development of colleagues in the markets.
- Drive team engagement, clear vision, effective communication, and development of direct reports by being available and present.
- Lead and drive regional quality initiatives and strategic projects that align with global objectives and local market needs.
- Partner with GSC, Regulatory Sciences, and other key functions to ensure uninterrupted product supply and regulatory alignment.
- Act as a quality advocate in cross-functional forums, ensuring quality considerations are embedded in decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in pharmacy, or a related field.
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate across functions
- Deep Understanding of GMP, GDP, QMS, and regulatory frameworks relevant to emerging markets (especially APAC).
- Experience engaging with local health authorities and managing regulatory inspections.
- Fluent in English (both written and verbal).
- Skilled in technical writing, reporting, and quality documentation.
- Demonstrated leadership in matrixed, multicultural environments.
