Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
Job Description
Overview
We are the Global Immigration team, with colleagues across London, New York, Miami, and Los Angeles, and we manage full lifecycle immigration requirements for NBCUniversal worldwide, including Film and Television productions, News and Sports coverage, Theme Parks and corporate employees. The stakeholders we serve have dynamic needs, and our team works hard to ensure best practices are in place to deliver excellent results.
In the role of Specialist - Immigration Projects, your primary responsibility will be to provide project management support to our immigration lawyers and advisors, allowing them to focus on legal advice and application preparation. You will also play a key role in managing ongoing compliance activities.
Responsibilities
Film/TV/Sports Production & Event Management (50%)
  • Create and maintain project plan and case trackers for each production/event.
  • Set up and onboard new projects by scheduling kick-off meetings, orientations and trainings, creating a budget, and distributing case priorities, etc.
  • Manage workflow progress against anticipated milestones and timelines to ensure that each step of a case is proceeding as required, and escalate issues accordingly.

Recordkeeping (15%)
  • Ensure case records are complete by organizing file copies and audit files, and regularly updating master trackers to maintain accuracy.
  • Execute best practices to ensure document retention and destruction requirements are satisfied.
  • Organize financial data to timely manage invoicing using an e-billing system, and reconcile purchasing card statements.

Reporting & Compliance (15%)
  • Track and monitor immigration cases to ensure data integrity for reporting to internal stakeholders.
  • Create, maintain, and distribute various reports at agreed intervals.

Drafting (20%)
Create initial drafts of various visa applications across jurisdictions.

Demonstrate that you have experience or aptitude in the following:
  • Project and workflow management
  • High pressure, high volume work environment
  • Problem solving and ownership of tasks and responsibilities
  • Highly organised, attentive to details, and able to prioritise and manage overlapping tasks
  • Continuous improvement
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication with the ability to adapt style to suit circumstances
  • Advanced Excel and report generation skills

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Experience
  • Minimum 1-year previous experience in immigration, law, or corporate project management
