What This Position Is All About:

Reporting to Senior Manager, PBP within the Saks People Team, the position involves working as part of a dynamic, creative, service-obsessed, and hardworking team. The Specialist, People Business Partner will play an integral role in supporting the talent related activities, as well as the implementation and administration of corporate and business specific talent programs & needs. This includes, but is not limited to, talent reviews, employee feedback survey, retention strategies, and work with the COEs like Rewards, L&D and DEI teams to further strengthen the Saks culture and make the workplace inclusive.

Who You Are:

  • Conduct training and onboarding formalities for new employees

  • Maintain a database (MIS) of all the employees’ information and ensure they are up to date and secure.

  • Will be responsible for preparing and recording Employee letters

  • Promote and support in developing Employee Engagement programs.

  • Support in developing and implementing employee related policies and procedures for the company

  • Collect and assess HR data for performance management and other tasks using metrics. Provide inputs and employee demographic data during audits, recurring review meetings, bonus, merit & appraisal discussions

  • Act as a point of contact for employees by providing support for various subjects such as leaves, compensations, and problem resolutions.

  • Act as a point of contact to managers for supporting with any data change requests, People communications as required and appropriate

  • Identify and recommend process improvements and efficiencies

  • Participating in special projects as required

  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.

  • Coordinate on new hire orientation and employee Rewards & Recognition process.

  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale.

You also have:

  • Post graduate in Human Resource

  • Exposure/Experience –working across cultures & cross functional teams

  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem solving and utilizing limited resources to maximum capacity

  • Ability to operate with limited supervision, work independently and in a team environment

  • Professional individual with a strong work ethic, a sense of urgency and ownership

  • Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task

  • Positive, high–energy, customer-service obsessed attitude

  • Eagerness to take on new projects, learn new skills, having continuous improvement at the top of your mind for everything we do, gain knowledge and build experience

  • Strong interpersonal skills - ability to draw business requirements from users and translate to process and system solutions
