Sr Advanced Software Engr

Solution Architecture Consultant is responsible for design of functionally-compliant integrated Operational Technology Digital Solutions. The role requires upholding technical leadership and expertise in design and deployment of best-in-class Digital Transformation technologies.

•    Support Solution Architecture aspects of all projects. Provide technically and commercially feasible solutions. 
•    Review business process and functional requirements to optimize the solution architecture requirement for the solution, recommending potential options, (which may include RFIs, RFPs or prototype development), selecting the most optimal option, and the development of a roadmap for the selected solution.
•    Perform solution mapping, functional decomposition, business process/swim lanes creation, etc. 
•    Conduct requirements gathering and solution conceptualization workshops for Enterprise scale implementations.
•    Lead activities that take place during solution ideation, functional requirements, solution blue-printing, development and detailed design, and solution implementation.
•    Lead process of requirements gathering and technology selection. Evaluate and ensure functional compliance to Client’s needs as well as Industry Standards.
•    Continuously improve technology architectures used within the company and determine ways to improve and optimize. Leverage Industry’s standards and best practices. 
•    Oversee creation and update of internal library of IMOMS Functional and Technical Standards library.
•    Produce documentation of a high-quality and to a detailed level, ensuring that all decision points, building blocks, principles, rationale, and all interdependencies are understood, documented, and communicated timely to relevant stakeholders.
•    Support Project Management and Delivery Engineering teams prior and during projects. Identify implementation risks and analyze potential impact.
•    Contribute to technical discussions on strategy and direction.
•    Act as a point of reference within the team to provide deep technical expertise.
•    Write, or contributes to, articles, and papers and speak at conferences, user groups, or specialist subject groups. Play a leading role in special interest groups concerned with specialist field.
•    Mentor young employees. Actively contribute to knowledge sharing. 
 

Academic: 

• Holds BSc degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering, Industrial/System Engineering or related field. 

Work Experience: 

• Minimum 7+ years’ experience as a Solution Architect in Energy Industry (Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Power, etc.)  

Certifications:

• Holds recognized Industry Certifications especially TOGAF 

Operational Technology Digitization Projects: 

• Experienced in design, implementation, and deployment of OT Digital Solutions.
• Adequate project management skills with a proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex digital implementation OT projects. 
• Knowledgeable in Downstream Oil & Gas (i.e., operation, quality, inventory, reliability, integrity, maintenance, process safety and risk and environmental compliance), refinery Users’ roles, data, tasks, and decision-making.

Digital Transformation: 

• Advanced knowledge in IR 4.0 / 5.0 Technologies and Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) such as IIoT, Edge Analytics, AI and Machine Learning, LLMs/Chatbots, Mixed Reality, Metaverse, Cybersecurity, Robotics, autonomous actions, lift and shift cloud, native clouds, technical infrastructure.

Solution Architecture: 

• Working experience in various Industry-Adopted architecture such as Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), etc. 
• Strong acumen in Business Process Management. 
• Ability to perform COTS Solution Mapping to Business Requirements. 
• Ability to perform business process decomposition, swim lanes, etc.

Solution Integration: 

• Working experience in integration methodologies, tools, and concepts. 
• Experienced in Microservices, Enterprise Service Buses (Biztalk, etc.) 
• Experienced in Integration with SAP/ERPs. 

Data Analytics & DSV: 

• Advanced experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Decision Support & Visualization 
• Experienced in KPIs development, UX Design, 
• Experienced in approaches and tools for Data Management (Databases/Schemas, Data Cleansing, Normalization, Transforms, Structured/Unstructured Data, etc.) 

Digital Infrastructure & Cloud: 

• Good background on Network Virtualization, Data Center Virtualization, Storage and Storage Management Virtualization, Migration From/To Virtual Platforms, Fault Tolerance, Redundancy, and Availability, Load Balancer, DevOps, Zero-Trust Framework, Performance Management, Android/iOS App Development, Networks, SQL, Python, Oracle, ML/DL, PI- Historian, Server Administration, Cyber Security, and SaaS.

Change & Adoption Management: 

• Knowledgeable of Digitalization Adoption Management, including developing and implementing strategies and driving user adoption of digital solutions.
