What We'll Bring:

TransUnion is building the OneTru Platform—a unified experience enabling data onboarding, analytics, modeling, and delivery workflows across credit risk, fraud prevention, and marketing intelligence. Consistency, scalability, and clarity in user experience are critical pillars of this transformation.
As Sr. Advisor, UX Experience Design Architect, you will own the design architecture for platform-level workflows and reusable UX frameworks across key functional areas (Data Management & Operations, Data Science lifecycle, Governance). This senior individual contributor role partners closely with UX architects, researchers, product managers, and engineering squads to translate complex user journeys into scalable design systems and interaction models that minimize manual effort and optimize automation over time.

What You'll Bring:

Responsibilities

Experience Leadership for Platform Use Cases

  • Own OneTru workflows end-to-end—from conceptual mapping to detailed design and delivery.
  • Lead workflow modeling, edge-case handling, interaction logic, and multi-role task flows.
  • Ensure alignment with the broader platform UX framework and design system governance.

Design Architecture & Execution

  • Translate conceptual UX patterns into detailed specifications and implementation-ready UI documentation.
  • Define and maintain reusable UX frameworks, design tokens, and accessibility standards.
  • Provide structured feedback and mentorship to junior designers executing screen-level designs.
  • Maintain alignment with Figma component libraries and shared UX patterns.

Engineering Partnership & Delivery

  • Collaborate daily with engineering during planning, build, QA, and release cycles.
  • Ensure accurate implementation of UI and interaction behaviors; prevent design-to-build gaps.
  • Identify deviations early and guide corrections to avoid technical debt.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with UX Research to integrate workflow insights into design decisions.
  • Influence product strategy and roadmap through UX architecture recommendations.
  • Support documentation, release sign-offs, and cross-team handoffs.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years in UX design, interaction design, or UX architecture for enterprise platforms.
  • Proven ability to translate conceptual frameworks into detailed workflows and UI patterns.
  • Skilled in designing multi-step operational processes across multiple persona roles.
  • Proficiency in Figma and design system governance; experience with component libraries.
  • Strong collaboration experience with engineering during agile delivery cycles.
  • Familiarity with data-centric platforms, analytics workflows, or ML environments.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and performance considerations for large-scale UX.

Impact You'll Make:

Personal Attributes

  • Ownership mindset—drives outcomes without waiting for direction.
  • Strategic thinker balancing immediate needs with long-term platform vision.
  • Detail-oriented and structured in approach.
  • Comfortable influencing and mentoring without formal authority.
  • Thrives in collaborative, multi-time-zone teams.

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

What you need to know about the Chennai Tech Scene

To locals, it's no secret that South India is leading the charge in big data infrastructure. While the environmental impact of data centers has long been a concern, emerging hubs like Chennai are favored by companies seeking ready access to renewable energy resources, which provide more sustainable and cost-effective solutions. As a result, Chennai, along with neighboring Bengaluru and Hyderabad, is poised for significant growth, with a projected 65 percent increase in data center capacity over the next decade.
