The Company
PayPal has been revolutionizing commerce globally for more than 25 years. Creating innovative experiences that make moving money, selling, and shopping simple, personalized, and secure, PayPal empowers consumers and businesses in approximately 200 markets to join and thrive in the global economy.
We operate a global, two-sided network at scale that connects hundreds of millions of merchants and consumers. We help merchants and consumers connect, transact, and complete payments, whether they are online or in person. PayPal is more than a connection to third-party payment networks. We provide proprietary payment solutions accepted by merchants that enable the completion of payments on our platform on behalf of our customers.
We offer our customers the flexibility to use their accounts to purchase and receive payments for goods and services, as well as the ability to transfer and withdraw funds. We enable consumers to exchange funds more safely with merchants using a variety of funding sources, which may include a bank account, a PayPal or Venmo account balance, PayPal and Venmo branded credit products, a credit card, a debit card, certain cryptocurrencies, or other stored value products such as gift cards, and eligible credit card rewards. Our PayPal, Venmo, and Xoom products also make it safer and simpler for friends and family to transfer funds to each other. We offer merchants an end-to-end payments solution that provides authorization and settlement capabilities, as well as instant access to funds and payouts. We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.
Our beliefs are the foundation for how we conduct business every day. We live each day guided by our core values of Inclusion, Innovation, Collaboration, and Wellness. Together, our values ensure that we work together as one global team with our customers at the center of everything we do – and they push us to ensure we take care of ourselves, each other, and our communities.

What You Need to Know About the Role
PayPal's Crypto team is seeking a Business Operations Analyst to drive the operational foundation of one of the company's highest-priority growth areas. In this role, you will own procurement operations, budget management, vendor contracting, and cross-functional operating rhythms across the Crypto organization. You will be the connective tissue between Finance, Legal, Engineering, Product, Business Development, and Commercial Operations, ensuring the team operates with precision, transparency, and speed.
This is a high-impact, high-visibility role that sits at the center of how the Crypto business runs day to day. You'll build and own the systems, processes, and reporting that leadership depends on to make decisions and execute at scale.
Your Way to Impact
- Build and own a centralized procurement operation that ensures all Crypto vendors are onboarded, invoiced, and paid accurately and on time, eliminating friction and payment escalations.
- Deliver reliable monthly Opex reporting that gives leadership clear visibility into budget health, enabling smarter resource allocation and planning decisions.
- Proactively manage the contract renewal pipeline so that no vendor agreement lapses or creates risk keeping Legal, BD, and Brand aligned well ahead of deadlines.
- Establish and run the operational cadences that keep Product, Engineering, Commercial Ops, and BD in sync turning meetings into outcomes with clear accountability and follow-through.
- Create the operational infrastructure (dashboards, trackers, workflows) that allows the Crypto team to scale without losing visibility or control.
In Your Day-to-Day Role You Will Be Responsible For
Procurement & Vendor Operations
- Managing the end-to-end procure-to-pay lifecycle for Crypto vendors: purchase order creation, invoice processing, goods receipts, and payment tracking.
- Serving as the primary liaison between Crypto vendor partners and PayPal's Procurement and Accounts Payable teams.
- Maintaining a centralized vendor tracker with contract terms, renewal dates, cumulative spend, and payment status across all active engagements.
- Identifying and resolving payment discrepancies, invoice holds, and PO issues proactively.
Opex Budget Management
- Tracking and reporting on the Crypto team's operating expense budget on a monthly basis, surfacing variances and trends to leadership.
- Partnering with the assigned Financial Analyst to ensure accurate budget allocation, accruals, and forecasting across cost centers.
- Preparing monthly budget summaries and quarterly outlook reports for inclusion in Monthly Operating Reviews and leadership updates.
- Supporting annual planning cycles by gathering historical spend data, modeling forward-looking scenarios, and documenting assumptions.
Contract Lifecycle Management
- Proactively managing the contract renewal pipeline, initiating renewal processes 90+ days ahead of expiration to prevent service gaps.
- Coordinating cross-functionally with Legal, Business Development, Brand, and Compliance to move contracts through review, redlining, and execution.
- Maintaining a contract repository with key metadata — effective dates, auto-renewal clauses, termination windows, SLAs, and spend caps — and providing regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Preparing spend analyses, usage summaries, and competitive benchmarking to support negotiation strategy.
Operational Rhythms & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Owning recurring operating cadences across Product, Engineering, Commercial Operations, and Business Development — including agenda preparation, action item tracking, and follow-up accountability.
- Maintaining and improving operational dashboards and trackers in Confluence, SharePoint, and JIRA that provide leadership real-time visibility into team health and execution.
- Driving process improvements that reduce administrative burden, improve cycle times, and increase transparency.
- Supporting preparation of executive-level materials for Monthly Ops Reviews, Quarterly CEO Staff Updates, and other leadership forums.

- Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data modeling), Confluence, JIRA, and SharePoint.
- Excellent organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with comfort preparing materials for senior leadership audiences.
- A proactive, ownership-driven mindset — you don't wait to be told what needs to happen next.
