ROLE SUMMARY
Pfizer Digital PGS provides solutions that automate and improve business processes that increase the effectiveness of our employees, lower compliance risk (Data Integrity), and reduce release cycle time. These solutions are core to operations, with the objective to improve product quality, increase utilization/uptime, automate manual workflows and streamline laboratory and Manufacturing operations while ensuring a User Centric Design approach. These solutions are deployed across more than fifty manufacturing & center locations across PGS Globally. The Digital PGS organization is launching our digital transformation to create an organization that is designed for rapid delivery through the implementation of agile ways of working (SAFe) and digital innovation. A core component of this transition is assuring we have the digital capabilities and an effective organization structure to rapidly deliver business value and innovative digital solutions.
The Platform Engineering Team within Digital is responsible for building the foundational infrastructure frameworks to support business application across global sites, and to ensure processes are being mechanized and implemented using digital technologies.
The DevOps Engineer will be part of the Platform Engineering Team, designing and building software to automate and bring to scale current and new solutions as requested by business teams, using latest cloud technologies and programing languages.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The DevOps Engineer responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with the DevOps and development teams to integrate security practices into the software development lifecycle.
- Assist in the design, implementation, and management of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines with a focus on security best practices.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents, applying incident response procedures as necessary.
- Research and stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices in the field of DevSecOps.
- Contribute to the automation of security tasks and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of documentation related to digital procedures and processes.
- Participate in vulnerability assessments, security reviews, and penetration testing of applications and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with operations teams.
BASIC SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's in Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline.
- At least 2 years of experience in software development.
- Experience with AWS Infrastructure & services.
- Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of common security vulnerabilities, threat vectors, and risk management techniques.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and communicate effectively.
- Eagerness to learn and stay updated on evolving security trends and technologies.
PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of infrastructure as code (IAC) principles using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience with Agile (SAFe preferred).
- Familiarity with security scanning tools (e.g., SAST, DAST, IAST) and their integration into CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with enterprise grade architecture principles.
- Any relevant certifications such as ITIL, TOGAF, CompTIA Security+, AWS Certifications, Azure Certifications, etc.
