What You’ll Be Doing:
Responsibilities:
1. Lead the design, development, and deployment of complex data solutions, ensuring scalability
and maintainability.
2. Architect and implement high-performance data pipelines and data warehousing solutions that
support critical business functions.
3. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UX designers, and
other engineers, to translate business needs into technical data solutions.
4. Conduct thorough code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to
best coding practices.
5. Mentor and coach junior data engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical
excellence.
6. Identify and implement improvements to the data engineering lifecycle, including automation,
testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
7. Troubleshoot and resolve production data issues, working to ensure high availability and
reliability of data services.
8. Evaluate and integrate new tools, frameworks, and technologies to improve data engineering
processes and team productivity.
9. Drive the technical vision for data projects, contributing to architectural discussions and longterm planning.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or
equivalent practical experience.
2. 5+ years of professional data engineering experience, with a proven track record of delivering
complex, scalable data solutions.
3. Proficiency in multiple programming languages, such as Python, SQL, or Java, and familiarity with
their ecosystems.
4. Deep understanding of data architecture patterns, such as data warehousing, ETL processes, and
dimensional modeling.
5. Experience with data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Redshift) and cloud computing
platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
6. Expertise in database design and optimization for both SQL and NoSQL databases.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex data issues
quickly.
8. Strong communication skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions, present to
stakeholders, and write detailed documentation
Mandatory Requirements:
Employees must have a high-speed broadband internet connection with a minimum speed of 50 Mbps and the ability to set up a wired connection to their home network to ensure effective remote work. These requirements may be updated as needed by the business.
