Job Summary**
The Sr. Procurement Manager at Jabil, Inc. will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sourcing initiatives, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing procurement processes to achieve cost savings, improve efficiency, and ensure supply chain continuity. This role requires a strong leader with a proven track record in procurement within a complex manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibilities**
* Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for key commodities and services, aligning with Jabil's global procurement strategy and business objectives.
* Lead complex negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service level agreements (SLAs), driving continuous improvement and cost reduction.
* Manage and monitor supplier performance, conducting regular business reviews and implementing corrective actions as needed to ensure quality, delivery, and cost targets are met.
* Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers, expanding the supply base to mitigate risks and capitalize on market opportunities.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, finance, and legal teams to understand material requirements, resolve supply chain issues, and support new product introductions.
* Analyze market trends, spend data, and supplier capabilities to identify opportunities for value creation and risk mitigation.
* Develop and implement procurement best practices, policies, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
* Mentor and develop junior procurement professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and performance excellence.
* Manage and resolve complex supply chain disruptions, ensuring minimal impact on production schedules and customer commitments.
* Prepare and present procurement reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management.
Job Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
* 10+ years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management within a manufacturing or electronics industry.
* Proven expertise in leading complex negotiations, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment and manage multiple priorities.
* Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement software.
* Certifications such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or C.P.M. (Certified Purchasing Manager) are a plus.
* Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
* Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
