About the Role:

The Sales Compensation Team at Confluent is a hard working group of analysts that have a strong passion for Sales Compensation and ensuring our Sales field is paid accurately and timely each month. The Sales Compensation team supports the field so that they can focus on selling and driving company revenue. The team works with all operational, finance, and sales departments ensuring strong relationships and collaboration.

Confluent is seeking a Sales Compensation Analyst for its rapidly growing Global business. The ideal candidate is curious with strong business acumen, a relationship builder with the ability to influence senior stakeholders, and an analytical thinker that dives deep into problem solving. They thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment, have excellent written and verbal communication, are detail-oriented and comfortable working with numerous stakeholders in an environment with considerable ambiguity.

The successful candidate will have deep experience in sales compensation or sales operations programs, designing solutions to support high growth. They should be able to juggle competing projects, design (and implement) sales incentive plans to support sales strategies, and work across multiple teams to solve complex problems. This person will work closely with the Sales leaders, Finance, HR, Corporate Compensation and other Confluent partner teams to negotiate, design, and deploy sales incentive programs.

What You Will Do:
  • APAC Sales Field support for Xactly (or current Comp System), Salesforce, and general questions

  • Perform audits (Excel or Gsheets) to ensure data integrity across systems to ensure correct compensation for the entire organization

  • Offer insights and ideas to create more efficient

  • Propose and present ideas effectively, in writing, influencing decisions, senior decision makers, and outcomes within tight timelines.

  • Ensure sales incentive plans are implementable via tools, process, and controls.

What You Will Bring:
  • Strong Excel experience required

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated experience working cross-functionally and influencing other teams within a complex business environment

  • Excellent problem-solving and project management skills

  • Solid understanding of data, reporting and the use of systems to implement operational objectives

  • Experience implementing variable sales compensation plans

  • Exceptional attention to detail
