The Sr SAP IBP Consultant will provide support for SAP IBP processes, handle integrations with ECC, optimize planning functions, and manage enhancements and documentation.
Sr SAP IBP Consultant1Key Responsibilities🔹 AMS Support & Incident Management
- Provide L2/L3 support for SAP IBP issues
- Troubleshoot and resolve: Planning run failures (heuristics, optimizer), Excel Add-in issues
- Data inconsistencies in key figures and planning levels
- Handle SLA-based tickets using ServiceNow / JIRA / Remedy
- Support IBP modules: IBP for Demand, IBP for Supply, IBP for Inventory Optimization, S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning)
- Ensure smooth execution of: Forecasting, Supply planning, Inventory planning cycles
- Monitor and support data flows between SAP ECC and IBP
- Handle: CIF / SDI / CPI-DS integration issues, Master data (Product, Location, Customer), Transactional data (Sales, Stock, Orders) , Troubleshoot replication and data load failures
- Maintain and enhance: Planning areas, Key figures, Attributes and master data types
- Work on: Time profiles, Planning levels, Version management
- Implement minor enhancements: New key figures / calculations, Planning views / Excel templates, Alerts and exception handling
- Prepare functional specs and coordinate with technical teams
- Perform: Unit Testing, Integration Testing (IBP ↔ ECC), UAT support
- Support transport management and release cycles
- Optimize: Planning performance (heuristics, optimizer runs), Excel Add-in performance, Improve system responsiveness and user experience
- Maintain: Planning process documentation, KT materials, Configuration guides
- Identify opportunities for: Process automation, Planning accuracy improvements, Better forecasting models
- 6–12 years of SAP experience
- 3+ years in SAP IBP
- Strong exposure to ECC AMS / Support projects
- Strong knowledge of: Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Optimization, S&OP processes
- Experience with: Forecast models, Planning cycles and workflows
- Hands-on experience with: Planning Areas & Key Figures, Time Profiles & Master Data Types
- Experience with: Excel Add-in for IBP, Alerts & exception handling
- Strong understanding of: IBP ↔ ECC integration
- Experience with: CIF / CPI-DS / SDI
- Knowledge of: Data replication and transformation
- ITSM tools: ServiceNow / JIRA / Remedy
- Exposure to: SAP Solution Manager (optional)
- Experience with: SAP S/4HANA IBP integration, Control Tower / Response & Supply
- Exposure to: SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
- Knowledge of: Advanced forecasting models (ML-based)
