Lead and supervise development and deployment of scalable software for industrial process automation. Provide technical support for on‑prem and cloud deployments, troubleshoot at code/log level, manage installations/upgrades, design HA system architecture, administer Kubernetes/Docker and CI/CD pipelines, implement infra solutions, document procedures, and recruit/develop a diverse team.
As an Sr Software Engineer Supervisor at Honeywell, you will help develop and implement advanced software solutions for process automation. Your work will support the design, development, and deployment of technologies that improve operational efficiency and productivity.
You will report to the Engineering Manager and work from our Bangalore location on a hybrid schedule.

ResponsibilitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Providing technical support for the deployment of different applications on customers’ on-prem and cloud systems.
- Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.
- Analyze proprietary software Systems log files, stack traces as well as various related technology logs for root cause problem determination and troubleshoot software application issues at a code level, by stepping through the application logic for programs (proprietary languages).
- Installs maintains, and upgrades applications.
- Work on projects executed across geographies and cultures.
- Research and provide infrastructure solutions to customers based on the scope and
requirements. - Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and procedures.
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- Technical experience in IT design and development with the technologies: Microsoft Azure VMware, AWS, or any cloud services.
- Installation and management of Kubernetes cluster.
- Must have knowledge of Docker Containerization.
- Experience of DevOps and CI/CD tools such as Bamboo, Octopus, SonarQube, Jenkins/Flux, etc.
- Scripting knowledge on Terraform / PowerShell / Azure CLI
- Hand-on experience with tools like Swagger, Postman, etc.
- Knowledge of DevOps pipelines and PowerBI
- Basic experience with Windows Servers and Linux Servers.
- Linux Server knowledge of Networking solutions (TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancing -NGINX and HA Proxy)
- Strong knowledge of software Installations, maintenance, and upgrades.
- Hands-on administration (RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu), Shell, Perl,
- Basic knowledge of Security (SSL/TLS, RBAC, Secrets Management)Experience with Active Directory, DNS configurations, GPO, OU structure, etc.
- Hands-on experience with Azure/VMware Backup/ restores and disaster recovery tools.
- Knowledge of system sizing of the servers.
- Designing system architecture for mission-critical systems, delivering high availability and performance monitoring.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal.

- BE/B.Tech/ or higher in Information Technology / Computer Science Engineering.
