Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines with python and ETL processes using SQL and other relevant technologies.
- Optimize and streamline data workflows to ensure efficiency and scalability.
- Develop complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) tasks.
- Collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver actionable solutions.
- Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data lifecycle.
- Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance on SQL best practices and data visualization techniques.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in SQL & data engineering.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in data engineering, data analysis, or a related role.
- Expertise in SQL querying, performance tuning, and database design principles.
- Experience with data warehousing concepts and technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, Athena, Clickhouse).
- Solid understanding of ETL processes, data modelling, and data integration techniques.
- Proven track record of delivering scalable and efficient data solutions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in real-time data processing is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in Python programming and experience with relevant libraries and frameworks (e.g., pandas, NumPy, SQLAlchemy).
- Experience in building & maintaining conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support business requirements and ensure data integrity.
- Experience in implementing various data design patterns for Data Warehouses (Eg: Medallion architecture)
- Strong analytical mindset with a passion for leveraging data to drive business decisions.
- Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
