The Provisioner Team is responsible for the design, development, release and operation of Provisioner, a critical component of our foundational technologies. Provisioner acts as the single source of truth for all user data across all Netskope Apps, scales to 100s of millions of devices at any given time, and processes billions of requests daily. As a member of the Provisioner team you will play a key role in the design, development and ongoing evolution of a critical component of our foundational technologies. You will be responsible for full life-cycle software development, including requirements analysis, technical architecture, design, implementation, testing and documentation, the recipe for deployment to production, and post-production ownership. What you will be doing
- Reviewing the product design and suggesting improvements from testability and user perspective
- Designing and delivering effective and automatable test plans.
- Writing test automation that can execute on large parallelized CI/CD Infrastructure
- Being an effective code reviewer for automation and product code.
- Analyzing and recommending the right tools for automation.
- Simulating negative scenarios and performing chaos testing
- Handling customer escalations, performing root cause analysis and driving customer issues to closure from QE perspective.
- Working closely with development teams, product management, and other stakeholders throughout all phases of product development to ensure alignment with strategy, planning, risks, and mitigations.
Required skills and experience
- 8+ years of experience designing and developing automated tests and frameworks for enterprise grade software, including direct experience developing scalable, high-performance cloud services based upon microservices architecture.
- Expertise in programming languages like Python or Java (Python preferred).
- Expertise in RESTful Web Service automation and Day-1 automation readiness.
- Strong expertise in cloud technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, Helm etc.
- Experience validating complex systems, including data pipelines, task queueing, async processing etc.
- Experience working on cloud based products and improving their reliability, resiliency and scalability.
- Expertise in Linux and troubleshooting system/server side Linux-based systems.
- Experience with technologies like Redis,Kafka,Ceph and NoSQL databases.
- Understanding of Active Directory, LDAP, SCIM technologies
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Drone and observability tools like ELK, Grafana etc.
- Familiarity with source code systems like Github
- Experience developing test frameworks from scratch
- Hands-on experience with public REST APIs/SDK of major SaaS vendors like Google, Microsoft or IaaS solutions like AWS, GCP etc.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to communicate in an open, transparent and consistent manner with other teams and your co-workers.
Education
- BSCS or equivalent required, MSCS or equivalent strongly preferred
