Overview 

Genesys is seeking a highly experienced Staff IAM Engineer to join our global Identity and Access Management team. This is a senior individual contributor role for an engineer who operates with a high degree of autonomy and owns complex IAM platforms end-to-end. 

In addition to supporting core IAM capabilities, this role will take primary ownership of Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and Delinea Secret Server, driving platform security, stability, and continuous improvement. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Serve as the technical owner for Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and Delinea Secret Server, including architecture, configuration standards, and lifecycle management. 

• Design and implement secure identity and privileged access solutions across on-premises and cloud environments. 

• Lead complex platform changes, enhancements, and integrations. 

• Act as an escalation point for complex directory, identity, and privileged access issues. 

• Support and mature JML processes, with emphasis on directory and privileged access integration. 

• Partner with Security, Infrastructure, Cloud, and Application teams to deliver scalable IAM solutions. 

• Own and maintain technical documentation including architecture diagrams, SOPs, runbooks, and knowledge base content. 

• Support audit and compliance activities related to directory services and privileged access. 

• Mentor and provide technical guidance to IAM engineers at junior and mid levels. 

• Participate in a shared, rotational on-call schedule supporting critical IAM services. 

Qualifications & Experience 

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 

• Typically 6–10+ years of experience in IAM, directory services, or security engineering. 

• Deep hands-on expertise with Active Directory (GPOs, trusts, replication, security hardening). 

• Strong experience with Microsoft Entra ID, including hybrid identity, conditional access, and privileged access capabilities. 

• Proven experience with Delinea Secret Server or similar enterprise secrets management / PAM platforms. 

• Strong understanding of SAML, OAuth, OIDC, MFA, and identity security best practices. 

• Experience leading complex technical work with minimal supervision. 

• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills. 

Additional Information 

• Working Hours: This role requires working late-day IST hours to support overlap with US (PST) and EMEA-based teams. Typical working hours are 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM IST, with some flexibility. 

• On-Call Support: Participation in a shared, rotational on-call schedule will be required.
