Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer with expertise in Data visualization and extensive experience in Data Modeling. The ideal candidate will play a key role in understanding complex business requirements directly from stakeholders & developing dashboards while ensuring data quality and integrity. This position requires good communication skills and experience in handling multiple stakeholders.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Hands on experience on Tableau / PowerBI.
- Solid understanding of database systems, data warehousing concepts, and SQL querying.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and familiarity with related services (e.g., S3, Redshift, Big Query).
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on Visualization best practices, Report Building.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in Visualization and Data Modeling.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in data visualization or related roles.
- Strong experience with Power BI or Tableau.
- Experience in using various data sources, e.g. SQL, CSV, Parquet, flat files, web sources.
- Strong experience in and understanding of relational and dimensional databases design and implementation.
- Understanding of the importance of governance and security rules when handling data
- Experience in converting business problems/challenges to technical solutions considering security, performance, scalability etc.
- Experience in enterprise-class solution implementations.
- Experience in using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
- Experience in Relational and non-relational database & Data Lakes.
