As a Staff Engineer at CommBank Health, you'll provide technical leadership across our healthcare payments platform. You'll define architectural direction, mentor engineering teams, and drive technical excellence while collaborating with product and business stakeholders to shape our long-term technical strategy.

As a Staff Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our healthcare payments platform through strategic technical leadership and hands-on expertise. You will lead technical design for complex, high-impact initiatives across our healthcare payments ecosystem, ensuring robust, scalable solutions that drive business value while mentoring Senior Engineers and offering technical guidance to the broader team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Tech Skills
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team;
Modern web frameworks and JavaScript ecosystems (Angular/React)
.NET Core and ASP.NET implementations
Cloud technologies including AWS or Azure and Kafka/event-based architecture
RESTful APIs and API integration patterns
Mobile app technologies (iOS/Android)
Monitoring tools and observability platforms
