The Role

As a System Administrator at Kyndryl, you’ll solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across the spectrum of platforms and services. You’ll be at the forefront of new technology and modernization, working with some of our biggest clients – which means some of the biggest in the world.
There’s never a typical day as a System Administrator at Kyndryl, because no two projects are alike. You’ll be managing systems data for clients and providing day-to-day solutions and security compliance. You’ll oversee a queue of assignments and work directly with technicians, prioritizing tickets to deliver the best solutions to our clients.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Willing to work in 24*7 environment with rotational shifts.

• IBM Administrator skill set with 5 to 10 years of experience on below topics.

• Strong knowledge on IBMi operating system(V7R4/V7R5) and administration.

• High disk utilization and High CPU Firefight actions.

• Knowledge on Connect Direct, IWS, CDC, Power lock and iDoctor Connect Direct, FTP, SFTP awareness and trouble shooting.

• Backup and Recovery media services (BRMS).

• System IPL , housekeeping and Roleswap (DR exercise) execution and support to GCC & GBGF teams.

• Flash backup (iHA) troubleshooting ,Admin Domain, and Replication support on PowerHA, iCluster and iASP related issues.

• Troubleshooting on HMC & TCP/IP issues.

• Working with IBM on reported software & hardware cases and issue follow-ups.

• Understand on PTF management and troubleshooting techniques.

• Managing crisis calls when Production issue related to IBM.

• Provide on-call once familiarized with environment.

• Working knowledge on performing Roleswap(Disaster Recovery). 

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• Able to work with Vendor by raising HW & SW case and log collection

• Good communication and documentation skills.
