About the role


We are seeking a skilled Linux Systems Engineer with strong experience in managing Linux-based systems and a deep understanding of networking, security, and server administration.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems and software applications.
  • Manage and maintain virtualized environments (VMware, KVM, etc.).
  • Implement and maintain system security policies and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot system and network issues and ensure resolution in a timely manner.
  • Perform routine audits of systems and software.

Desired skills & experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a Linux Administrator or similar role in a corporate environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Linux command line, shell/python scripting.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
  • Knowledge of security best practices and tools (firewalls, SELinux).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry certifications such as RHCE, LPIC, or CompTIA Linux+.
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (Nagios).
