Job Title: Systems Accountant
Location: Covent Garden, London, UK (Hybrid)
About the role:
We are hiring a Systems Accountant to join BSI’s Finance team to support the effective use, data integrity and continuous improvement, of our Group consolidation, budgeting and reporting platform, Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).
The role will work closely with Finance teams, IT, and external service providers to manage system configuration, data integrations, and month-end processes, ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient financial reporting and planning across the organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with strong systems aptitude who enjoys problem-solving, process improvement, and working across teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide functional and technical support for the Group’s consolidation, budgeting, and reporting platform, HFM and FDMEE (Hyperion Financial Data Quality Management, Enterprise Edition).
Act as a key finance contact for HFM, supporting day-to-day operation, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
Support the design, testing, and implementation of system enhancements and process changes across Finance.
Maintain data integrity across finance systems, ensuring accurate configuration, master data, and controls.
Support month-end and year-end processes from a systems and controls perspective.
Partner with Finance, IT, and external vendors to resolve system issues and deliver improvements.
Produce and maintain system documentation, process maps, and user guidance.
Support user training and adoption of finance systems and reporting tools.
Contribute to finance transformation initiatives, including ERP-related projects.
To be successful in the role, you will have:
A professional finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), or be part-qualified with relevant experience.
Strong understanding of core finance processes (GL, reporting, controls).
Demonstrable experience working with finance systems (HFM and SAP).
Strong Excel skills with proficiency in VBA and confidence working with financial data.
Experience supporting system changes, testing, or implementations.
A structured, detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving skills.
The ability to work collaboratively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
Desirable:
Oracle HMF experience, including support and administration in an 11.2 HFM environment
Exposure to reporting or analytics tools (e.g. Power BI).
Experience working in a large or multinational organisation.
