OVERVIEW
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Technical Lead to drive the design, development, and delivery of data solutions in a fast-paced Agile and DevOps environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong leadership, technical expertise, and communication skills.
PROJECT
Hybrid. Once a month in Krakow office.
You'll join as an Lead Big Data Expert and work as a Consultant with one of the biggest global bank. You will work on many different projects: on-prem, migration, cloud (GCP) with top notch engineers. You'll join the team based in Krakow but also work in an international team.
Tech stack: Python, Scala, Spark, Pyspark, Hadoop, SQL, noSQL, GCP, BigQuert, DataProc, ETL
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and participate in planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and status meetings.
- Contribute to system architecture, design, and development standards.
- Drive implementation of scalable data pipelines using tools like BigQuery, DataProc, Spark, Python, and Composer.
- Ensure code quality through reviews, testing, and continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD).
- Collaborate cross-functionally to promote best practices and knowledge sharing.
- Monitor and optimize performance, availability, and accuracy of data systems.
REQUIREMENTS
- min. 7-8 years of experience as a Big/Data Engineer and min. 1-2 years of experience as a Tech Lead
- Experience in banking, financial services - is a huge plus
- Experience in technologies like: Python, Scala, Java, Spark, Hadoop, SQL, noSQL, GCP (preferred, but if you've worked on other cloud, it's also acceptable)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
- Focused on solving problems
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Bachelor/Master Degree in Computer Science or related topic
