Role Summary

At Mem0, we're looking to hire a Senior Technical Content Manager who combines deep technical writing experience with the ability to lead a team of writers, strategize, and ship content that developers actually care about. This is a role for someone who can write code, explain complex ideas with clarity, and build a small but high-output content engine from the ground up.

What You’ll Do
  • Own Mem0’s technical content strategy from topics, formats, cadence, to distribution with a focus on high-signal, developer-centric content.

  • Write and edit deeply technical blog posts, guides, examples, and architectural explainers across:

    • AI systems and agents

    • memory architectures

    • vector databases & embeddings

    • LLM workflows & SDK integrations

    • applied research insights

  • Produce content that shows real engineering ability (e.g., production-level code samples, API walkthroughs, minimal reproducible examples).

  • Translate complex technical concepts into narratives that are approachable, educational, and entertaining.

  • Manage and mentor a small team of writers and contributors to raise the bar on quality and velocity.

  • Collaborate with engineering, research, and the founders to surface new ideas, product insights, and content opportunities.

  • Develop a strong understanding of developer communities and provide insights into reader preferences on Hacker News, Reddit, X, and other channels.

  • Ship fast, learn from real-world engagement, and refine the content engine through iteration.

  • Act as an internal expert on how our audience thinks: their pain points, workflows, tools, and mental models.

  • Use SEO insights to inform topic selection and content direction without compromising the depth, originality, or technical rigor that Mem0’s audience expects.

Who You AreRequired
  • 5–8 years of technical content writing with a portfolio of 50+ well-researched, deeply technical articles in AI, ML systems, LLMs, vector search, infrastructure, or related domains.

  • Strong ability to write high-signal, code-driven content. You can implement examples, use APIs, and reason about architecture tradeoffs.

  • 1–2+ years of management experience, leading content writers or editorial workflows.

  • Can read API documentation and SDKs and turn them into clear, useful developer guides.

  • A strong grasp of the AI ecosystem: what content performs, what developers are curious about, and where the field is heading.

  • Excellent writing mechanics and blog structuring skills that does not rely heavily on AI tools to compensate for weak fundamentals.

  • A builder’s mentality: you iterate quickly, ship often, and treat content like a product.

  • Ability to read, digest, and extract insights from AI or systems research papers.

  • Strong developer empathy. You’re plugged into technical communities and understand what earns attention vs. what gets ignored.

  • Able to perform thoughtful SEO analysis to guide content strategy

Preferred
  • Experience writing about memory systems, knowledge representation, or agent architectures.

  • Prior work at an AI infrastructure, API tooling, or developer-facing platform company.

  • Demonstrated thought leadership in AI, ML Ops, or system design.

What You Care About
  • Producing content that has real technical depth, not SEO filler.

  • Helping developers build better systems, not chasing marketing metrics.

  • Exploring new, complex AI topics with genuine curiosity.

  • Understanding and contributing to Mem0’s mission of bringing memory to every AI system.

Who Is Not a Fit
  • Writers who are primarily SEO-driven or marketing-oriented.

  • Managers who don’t write this is still a hands-on writing role.

  • Software engineers who want to write but have not demonstrated adequate writing skill.

  • Individuals who rely excessively on AI writing tools without the underlying expertise.

About Mem0

Mem0 is building the memory layer for AI agents that enables them to store, retrieve, and leverage long-term memory. Developers use Mem0 to build stateful, adaptive systems that learn over time. As the frontier of agentic AI rapidly evolves, high-quality technical content is one of the most important ways we educate the market and shape how developers build with memory.

Why Mem0?
  • You help define the emerging field of AI memory — one of the most critical primitives for the next decade of AI systems.

  • You work closely with founders, engineers, and growth team in a fast-moving environment.

  • Your writing will influence how thousands of developers think about memory-augmented AI.

What you need to know about the Chennai Tech Scene

To locals, it's no secret that South India is leading the charge in big data infrastructure. While the environmental impact of data centers has long been a concern, emerging hubs like Chennai are favored by companies seeking ready access to renewable energy resources, which provide more sustainable and cost-effective solutions. As a result, Chennai, along with neighboring Bengaluru and Hyderabad, is poised for significant growth, with a projected 65 percent increase in data center capacity over the next decade.
