Group/Division

With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. The LS-SWIFT Division of KLA’s Global Products Group provides patterned wafer inspection systems for high-volume semiconductor manufacturing. Its mission is to deliver market-leading cost of ownership in defect detection for a broad range of applications in the production of semiconductors. Customers from the foundry, logic, memory, automotive, MEMS, advanced packaging and other markets rely upon high-sample wafer inspection information generated by LS-SWIFT products. LS (Laser Scanning) systems enable cost-effective patterned wafer defect detection for the industry’s most sophisticated process technologies deployed in leading-edge foundry, logic, DRAM, and NAND fabs. SWIFT (Simultaneous Wafer Inspection at Fast Throughput) systems deliver all-wafer-surface (frontside, backside, and edge) macro inspection that is critical for automotive IC, MEMS, and advanced packaging processes as well as foundry/logic and memory fabs. LS-SWIFT operates from a global footprint that includes the US, Singapore, India and Germany, and serves a worldwide customer base across Asia, Europe and North America.

You will be part of digital and mainstream technology staff as well as Digital Transformation Services. You will play a vital role in crafting delivering solutions to make our employees and customers more agile and productive. Emphasizing teamwork and workflow improvements. This technical position provides an outstanding opportunity for those who are motivated to face challenges both in technical leadership and also in project management fronts. The position will work with multi-functional teams and across multiple IT technologies to define the product requirements, plan resources, and drive the development process from design to final field deployment. In addition, this position is also responsible for working with business teams to solidify the roadmap of the projects as we continue to support the business.

Responsibilities


As a Software Engineer, you will join our Dynamic Team on the journey to Modernize our product and deliver Innovative Software solutions to our customers. You will develop the User Interface and Business Logic for real time, high speed optical systems that use cutting edge Computer Vision and Deep Learning Technology to deliver best of breed products. You will collaborate with various teams to contribute to the success of the entire organization. Your responsibilities will include the following.

  • Embrace Generative AI solution for improving Human Machine Interaction creating system of systems for LS-SWIFT product lines such as CIRCL, Voyager.

  • Innovation is highly encouraged and publish creative solutions in engineering conferences, patents.

  • Engage in software development using object-oriented languages with a commitment to excellence.

  • Adapt to various programming languages (C#, C++, Java) with an open mind and outstanding performance.

  • Cultivate a passion for learning and mastering full stack product knowledge, including UI, Business Logic, and Cougar software layers.

  • Excel as a quick learner, becoming a domain expert in defect inspection for LS-SWIFT products.

  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, engineering leaders, and stakeholders to create and implement software solutions.

  • Show a strong drive for results and an eagerness for continuous learning and improvement.

  • Advocate for the implementation of solid engineering principles, coding standards, and design patterns to establish durable and maintainable architectures.

  • Be willing to travel to KLA global sites and client locations worldwide as required.

Qualifications

  • Holds a degree in BE/BTech/MS/MCA/MTech

  • Proven expertise in programming fundamentals using object-oriented languages such as C#, C++, or Java

  • Proficient in software design

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Comprehensive understanding of SDLC and software engineering principles

  • Adept in advanced debugging and troubleshooting methods.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's Level Degree and work experience of 4 + years OR

  • Bachelor's Level Degree and work experience of 5 + years
